We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
(A)Cash handling
1.To perform all counter transactions including inward DD/TT /TQ encashment and after authorization authenticated e.g. signature verification.
2.To count cash received/paid out and collect respective charges in cash handling.
3.To be alert of forgery items
4.To balance cash position at regular internals and total cash in hand after closing against workstation and cash vouchers.
5.To ensure that workstation has been signed off and drawers are locked at all times when leaving the counter
6.To ensure the transactions handled comply with the law and regulations.
7.To ensure that entries are correctly keyed into the Terminal.
8.To perform cash advance, emergency cash request for customers.
9.To back up ATM position if need.
(B) Sales and Services
1.To answer customers queries courteously at counter and over the phone and refer to superiors when problem encountered.
2.To complete applications/request forms/withdrawal & deposit slip etc for customers in case of need and provide customers with appropriate forms as requested.
3.To guide customers to appropriate department and manage bank hall queues.
4.To enhance the Bank’s professional image by providing courteous and efficient services, up keeping the bank hall to ensure that it is tidy, pamphlets voucher holders are filled and utility damages are reported.
5.To introduce/promote bank services/products whenever possible to satisfy customer needs.
6.To cross sell HK branch services/products to expatriates in Mainland China.
(C) Others
1.To perform other Branch operational duties as assigned.
2.To despatch collection items such as pin/credit/ETC Cards to customers.
(D) Compliance
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
1.By maintaining and ensuring due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators. Ensuring awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy.
2.By maintaining awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section 4 of the Group Operations FIM.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
-1-3 years experience
–Knowledge on retail operations, products and service
–Understanding of local rules and regulations
